Meet the Team

Daniel Holmes
Founder & CEO
Dan Holmes is a U.S. Navy Special Operations veteran and kidney disease survivor who turned his personal battle with Membranous Nephropathy into a national advocacy mission. As the founder of The Enlisted Kidney Foundation, Dan draws on his military training and lived experience to empower kidney patients, influence healthcare policy, and educate medical professionals.
A dynamic public speaker, he has delivered keynote addresses at national summits, spoken on Capitol Hill, and served on research panels alongside leading scientists and pharmaceutical leaders. His mission is clear: to ensure every kidney warrior feels seen, heard, and supported in their fight.

Jordan Holmes
Board Member
Jordan Holmes is an Enlisted Kidney Foundation board member, marketing expert, and 2025 high school graduate. He has been accepted into his county fire rescue program and will begin EMT school soon — committing to a career built on selfless service.
As the son of a kidney disease warrior and Navy veteran, he has witnessed the realities of chronic illness up close. From attending countless doctor’s appointments to watching his father advocate for better care and navigate complex medical systems, he’s developed a deep understanding of what it means to be a self-advocate. That experience has shaped his perspective and strengthened his commitment to helping others do the same.
He actively supports EKF’s mission, travels with the team to Capitol Hill for national advocacy efforts and serves as a voice for the next generation of kidney warriors. A respected former high school quarterback, Jordan leads with heart—on the field, in the community, and now in the fight to save lives.
